Nice site! I went out and scoured the DAW listing and it sure seems complete. There is a whole range of systems and software listed, a lot of which I recogzed as well as a lot that I didn't. I was disappointed that several of the manufacturers seemed to not wish to include info about their products, (Come on Midiman!) but other than that it was very comprehensive. The configuration costs of most of the systems that I looked at seemed higher than what I remebered the MSRPs of them to be. For instance, the Aardvark Q10 which I have been interested in showed a configuration cost of $999 but the MSRP of it is $899 according to the listings I've seen. I know I can go to Mars music though and get it for $649. I don't know what else is adding $100 onto the price listed. It seemed to be that way with any systems that had prices but I'm not a walking encyclopedia of prices so I'm not sure just how close or how far off the are. Also, since I have just gotten a mini DV camcorder the video listings will come in handy for me.

I get the feeling these people are trying to sell high-end DAW-design consulting ...

The "About" page sez they design/sell equipment. That's nice. Then they also do tech writing.

I don't think I'd give 'em MY name. I'm not really sure what it is they do, besides link to Amazon.com, synopsize the pressrooms of some pertinent companies, and compile a database of products (information that past clients probably paid them to get).

It's worth lurking on the site for the free info, though, I guess.

I'll give it a 5: I'm tapping my foot, but not dancing.
