Hey guys I'm running a new Dell with Windows7 64 bit with Sonar 8.5 Producer & would like to pick up a control surface so I can control Sonar 8.5 without having to use a mouse & keyboard. Having some USB preamps wouldn't hurt either. Need some recommendations. Price range would be up to about $800 new.

Ok, so you want an interface and a control surface, right? How many inputs are you looking for?

Probably at least 4 as I'm only recording myself on guitar & a mic for now.

OK...USB interface with control surface, minimum of 4 inputs.

On the cheaper end...maybe a Lexicon Omega paired with a Behringer BCF2000 http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Lexicon-Omega-Desktop-Recording-Studio?sku=2455052000 motorized control surface.

Or just pair your favorite 4 input interface with the Behri control surface.

Or the all in one ZOOM R16, 8 x 8 USB interface, with control surface functionality. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/R16

A little more and right at your budget max. Cakewalk V-Studio 100
