I've always had a fondness for the Davisound stuff. They always look like they were made in woodshop class for extra credit. I like that microphone he makes that looks like a birdhouse.

What a kook.

Yes, but what does it *sound* like?

Its a non-coloring mic pre. Outside from that its hard to explain. Unless you want me to use all the nice lingo. Its "warm", "fat", "full", "rich", "smoooooth", "devine".

It is still for sale if anyone wants it.

I would put up something I recorded with it, but apparantly nobody likes the mic I used (own). (C3000B) :D

Actually, I will...but give slack for the fact this still went into the "line in" of my Roland 1680 which is more of a mic pre with zero gain and crummy A/D converters.

(its a little low volume in the beginning...just skip forward if you want. There are different parts that show it off differently)

Everything in that song is the Davisound.

One more.....

I AM A GUITARIST...NOT A SINGER. I REPEAT, I AM A GUITARIST, NOT A SINGER.

But the guitar tone is killer IMO. D41 all the way. Thumb strum main with pick overdubs. This one is also 100% Davisound into the Roland. The very last note sounds like a piano, but that is the Martin. :p
