Still Learning.......
I haven't had a chance to sit down and work down any Dashboard stuff yet, but a mate of mine has said that each song uses a different tuning.

Anyone seen the guy live? Or can play any of the songs? It would seem a bit wack if he would use really odd tunings for all his songs.

Has anyone heard of Dashboard Confessionals? I have no idea how underground they are stateside. (For anyone who doesn't know, Dashboard Confessionals are a guy and his mates playing acoustic stuff).

Check out www.Dashtabs.com

Has pretty much everyone of his songs and includes tunings!!!
awesome site!

I hope you have a couple of guitars laying around because he uses a different tunning for pretty much every freakin song!!

yes.

i don't know hs exact tuning but his tunning when he plays at the top 5 frets is like someone playing down at the 12th fret in standard tunning... pretty wierd huh? I play alot of his stuff.

Dashboard ConfessionalS is just a mistaken name of Dashboard ConfessionaL. It's not very underground in the states. After the release of the single "Screaming Infidelities" and an MTV2 video, everyone 18 and under bought the album. I love his songwritting. The biggest complaint I hear from other people is that they think Chris' voice gets annoying. Just in case you don't know, the lead singer IS Dashboard Confessional. He was in Further Seems Forever, w/ Dashboard as an acoustic side project, and when it took of he left. The band consists of studio musicians and a road band that is always going through some kind of change. I really reccommend former Dashboard bassists band Seville too.
