I've been working on this one for a few days now. It started with a beat in my head and then came the bass. Everything kind of fell into place after that. I used my Digitech RP50 for the guitars and bass with some custom patches. The drums were produce from my iPod Touch, believe it or not. I don't have a real set or the ability to actually play. EQ adjustment and mixing done in Adobe Audition 1.5. Some post reverb effects were added to the drums and some audio effects were created to add atmosphere.

Instruments:

Fernandes Dragonfly X
Squire P-Bass

Thanks for listening.

Pretty good track. I dig the industrial sound of the snare. I think the kick could use some cklick though. You can feel it but it's not very defined. Gitars sound very fizzy but that fits the style. Now all you need is a cookie monster...:D. Nice work!

Joey :):):):)

Cool vibe - it's got a crunchy distortion that is very "thick". What kind of rig are you using - I don't think my Marshall amp is capable of those tones. :D It's almost synthesizer - ish....

I like the overall "sound" - did you master this? It super even and smooth....

Could use some of JoeyM's vocals!! You guys should discuss this...seriously ;)

Well, I was kind of thinking that a Manson-esque vocal would really fit well. The kick could use more click but I couldn't get the sample to sound right after the EQ tweaks I initially made. Thanks for listening.

The guitar sound came completely from the RP50. I just added some EQ tweaks here and there. The RP50 may be small but it can produce some decent tones if you use it right.

Yes, I did master it. I don't like to leave any jagged edges. I used T-Racks Deluxe with the Pan/Expand tool, Normalize tool, and Hard Limiting tool. That evened out the levels and brought up some of the quieter parts.

interesting sound. I think you got the sound you were going for. The waka-waka guitar seems to lag slightly once in a while. I feel like maybe a slight nudge to the left might make it feel a little tighter in some spots.
