Wow...this is so not my thing stylistically, but i find myself drawn to it despite that. a really intricate arrangement...i love the way everything is panned. the only thing i'm not sold on is the percussion...almost seems a bit stunted in places...

so wholesome sounding, i almost didn't know what to make of it. very smooth and very evocative of aquatic, floridian sorts of things...nice work.

Xeries, once again you manage to amaze me....this is simply beautiful! Definitely my favourite from all that I've heard from you so far. Sure, maybe the percussions could be peppered up a bit, maybe something more traditional. But on the whole the recording is so good that it really doesn't matter to me. And you've got great voice to top it all...!
Well done!

Cheers
Joe ;)

Thanks very much, heatmiser, I was shooting for some kind of rolling waltz of the manatees kind of thing, and I know the percussion is lacking, as usual.
I might get someone to fix it for me before I donate it to the save the manatee foundation. I wrote it for them, but then Mr. Buffett became their chairman, so I backed off a bit. It will always be available to them, but it's too long for a PSA. Maybe if they do a fundraiser show they'll be able to use it. Thanks for listening and the kind words.:)

Thanks so much, Joe, I'm glad you can appreciate this piece. I like to play it in the car because the strings hang so long on the G chord and can do all that agitato stuff. I've always been a sucker for that. Thanks, again. :)

Wig,
If "Walk With Me" wasn't my favorite song of yours, this one would be. I think you've done a great job of it... nice string parts... and to me, everything has a welcomed cohesiveness about it... most particularly in the rhythms....
Speaking of the rhythm... what is the time sig for this tune? I counted it three different ways....couldn't decide which was correct...

Peace!

~Shawn

I'd have to say it's 3/4 Shawn. Kind of a rolling fast waltz is the best way I can describe it. I write a lot in 6/8 also.

You could say that this song is 6/8 also. I can't fit it with 2/2 or 4/4 though.:)

Really glad you like the song. I love writing string parts like this.:)
