The tracks were the drummer's first attempt at recording. The two members of the band wanted me to mix them as a favor from an ex-bandmate. I think I did alright, considering I had no control of recording quality.

Recorded in Garageband, exported to iTunes and loaded in Audition as M4As on my PC, so I worked with clipping tracks. Also, drums were premixed on the sound board (but not a soundboard, the kind that looks more like a guitar head) as there was only one input on the iMac soundcard. So, only comment on the mixing.

Codename: The Sharks! - Thelma and Lewis

Hey stickbugg, typing as listening...
Intro sounds good... when the tempo picks up there's too much drums or they just don't fit right to my ears... they kind of dominate the song.
I do like the guitar tone and riff there.
The tune is interesting and driving... just sounds like it could use some adjustments.
The vocals are a bit distant or verbed compared to everything... I"m not sure about the quality you had to work with or how or drum mixing since I'm no drummer, but it's a fun tune :)

I believe you're talking about toms overpowering the intro, which I agree with. Drums were recorded as one track, so within the kit there's no adjustments I can make.

The vocals were also recorded quite verbed, so I couldn't really do much there.
I am currently mastering the EP so I'll post the final MP3 in a few minutes.

My ISP is having routing issues in the area, so I can't in any way upload an MP3 of the final master. But you can check it out at

in half-decent quality.

Thelma and Lewis is the track on topic, but you can check the others out as well. I'd be happy to hear what you guys think.
