Seeing as this is not a legal help forum, I guess I wasn't looking for information on the legalities of copyright infringement, I can see you wouldn't have been much help there either.......But gee wiz thanks for your help anyway :)

I'm not a lawyer either (luckily...but seriously some of my best friends are lawyers). However some MP3s are legal and some are not. Let's assume you have lgal ones....

There are a few gadgets that play MP3s, but most "CD" players do not. You will have to convert the MP3s to .wav files. You can then play with them with your new software to maxamize gain etc. etc. Then you can burn them to CD and play them on a regular CD player.

I'm sure I sound ignorant about this (since I only have CD players) but I think there are some MP3 players but not a lot outside of computers.... anyone else have ideas??

Aloha,

It is sufficient to get a copy of WinAmp, and select the diskwriter for output in the preferences. Your mp3 files will be saved as wav file, which can be converted to CDA using your burning software.

Actually there are an assload of CD players that will play CD's and MP3's. Check the following site...you can get standalone players, in-dash car players, and portables.

Otherwise, you can start immediately by converting your MP3's to wave as stated above, but then you're only going to get 74 minutes per CD and NO improvement in sound quality.

If you actually like this MP3 stuff, it might be worthwhile to invest in one of these players.

the one app that I like to use for burning mp3 to cd (converts .mp3 to .cda without the need to first convert to .wav) is mp3cdmaker

i use nero burning rom and it converts mp3's directly to cd-r's on the fly..

My gadget-addicted buddy just bought a portable mp3 player that reads mp3s from a data CDR disc! 11 hours of music on one CDR.
