Solved D80 master and slave to phillips CDR870

could anyone help me connect my two D80's to my CDR?
I have connected d80's optical out on main unit to optical in on slave. The CDr has optical in and out. which connections do I use from D80 to CDR?
maybe a stupid question, but I would rather ask and get it right first time as otherwise it means dismantling the rackmounts ea each attempt. Thanx in advance

I would purchase a mixer so you can adjust the level volumes, to get a good mix.. THen I would just plug my CDR into the 2trk in and out on my mixer and your set..
 
thanx.. I have a tascam m2600 24 track mixer, and for mixdown thats the direction I will take, I was just trying to utilise a cd storage facility for un-mixed tracks direct from the linked D80's with a view to uploading and re mixing?
