D 8000 S Dynamic Hypercardioid mic

I want to buy a mic to use for practice. Can someone tell me if this mic is any good?

The D8000S is a discontinued AKG bottomfeeder mic. I am familiar with it, and if anybody wants more than $25 for it, don't do it. Check ebay for any of the following AKG mics- D880, D770, D320B, D330B. I got my D320B for $45 on ebay, and it's an excellent mic. D770 and D880 are current mics. A used Shure SM57 or SM58 works for most people, but I have one of those voices that gets along better with AKG's. The D8000 isn't one of them, however.-Richie
 
i don't like any of the AKG cheaper dynamics i've used, although I've not used the one Richie likes. Get a Sennheiser e835 (they're about half the price of an SM58 over here and I wouldn't swap!!).
