I need to buy a Chineese cymbal but dont know what kind to buy, never have bought one before? Anyone have any suggestions? I've heard a lot of good stuff about Wohan, are they good?

Wuhans are always nice. They have other names too. Han Chi, and I think Rancan also. Anyway, the cymbals are incredibly inconsistent, so you need to personally go to a store and try out the wuhans and see which you like the most. Sam Ash has Han Chis, which are the same. Each cymbal will sund very different, so choose which one you like the most. Other good choices are paiste signature chinas, and Sabian Paragon and HH chinas.

It counts on how much money you have, a chinease to me is really just a chinease because of the shape it takes just as much hammering to make a cheap one as an expensive one.

I second the Wuhan suggestion. Dirt cheap and sound like a china should. I have a Sabian prosonic which is awesome but the $25 Wuhan you just can't beat (well you can, and then eventually it'll break and you can just buy another $25 cymbal).

So everyone agrees that they would be ok to purchase? And no the funds dont run very deep!!!!

I've used Wuhans for 15 years, they are excellent Chinas. !6-18" are my personal favorites.

Yeah I have been using 14" inch Wuhan chinas for a couple years now.. Just make sure you test their sound before you buy them. They sound decent and when they break its only 20 bucks for another. I love the way they sound too so I think they are worth it.
