I recorded three songs from my stand alone sequencer onto my HD via CWPA9, effected fadeouts on each piece of work, normalized the songs and saved them as 'Cakewalk Bundle' file types before burning them onto CDR. What I found was that these three songs (the longest being about 6+ minutes) used over 600 megs of the disk. What could I have possibly done wrong? I thought that I would be able to record as many songs on a disk as are found on commercial CD's.

Hi N,

.BUN files are for archiving purposes only. It stores all the audio and midi data, including settings and plug-in presets used in your song. No wonder one of your songs was over 600 Mb's. You can't play them back either. It's just way you can backup your projects in Cakewalk.
If you want to burn your songs to CD, you should mix 'em down (Tools - Mixdown Audio - Export to File).
This creates a .wav file, which you can burn to CD and actually listen to.

greetings, Tabnak

Thanks Tabnak,

You have been a HUGE help to me, and I appreciate it deeply.
