I was getting a little low on hard drive space so I installed a second hard drive. I want all my project data (wavs etc) to go to the new drive. I did the audio options thing the book talks about but it says I also have to "manually" move all the wave data over to the new drive via explorer, etc. Do I really have to do this? Is there anything I need to watch out for or pay particular attention to when doing this?

Thanks,
DD

Were you using the Per Project option on your previous installation? If not, finding and copying the correct wave files might be a major PIA.

You might try this.

First off, start using the Per Project option. Then open your original file and resave it as a bundle file (.cwb). Reopen the bundle file. It should prompt you to establish a new folder for the project, and it will then place copies of the relevant wave files into the new folder.

Once you've done that and you're sure everything is working. Delete the original .cwp file, and run the Clean Audio tool to get rid of the old wave files.

I'm not sure what the Per Project option is but I always save my projects as bundles. Guess I need to get the book out again and read it :D

It came with Sonar 2 togheter with the new better filenames for the wav-files. :)
