Do any of you make your own XLR Cables..

if so..

where do you get your cable and connectors...

im sick of shitty cables.. and would like to have good ones...

I make a lot of my own cables. I use Neutrik connectors and cable from Canare or Connectronics. I usually buy my supplies from fullcompass.com

I don't make any of my own cables any more after finding an affordable quality cable manufacturer. If you want, drop me a PM with what you need and I can send you back a quote for either premade cables or even just all the parts:)

I use www.redco.com

Their a little cheaper than full compass in most cases. BTW, well worth the time to make your own.

Good luck

Neutrik are very good. Depending on your drum mic's you may want to consider a right angled female XLR's. It could save you a couple of inches in a tight set up. I always go with the gold plated black Neutrik connectors. Not sure if the gold plate is helping or not. It may be wasted money...
