Here's the scene: I'm recording a live theatre organ concert in multitrack view, and I drop in cues using the F8 function key in order to indicate the beginnings and ends of songs.
Although I can change these basic cues to ranges by highlighting all of them and selecting "merge," I cannot use the batch button (grayed out) to create individual files for further editing.
Right now, I have to put the cursor on a cue in multitrack view, then switch to edit mode. Then I insert the cues AGAIN -- one at a time going back and forth between multitrack and edit mode. Then I can create the ranges and proceed to batch edit into individual songs.
I know I could simply record the concert in edit view, but I read on another post that it is always wise to record in multisession mode so as to avoid having too large a file. Apparently a really long song file has a limit when the recording is done in edit mode.
Am I missing a very obvious way to get the cues in BOTH multitrack and edit view at the same time?
