Cuebase dropouts

I bought a lexicon interface for my computer and instruments to attach to. I finally figured out how to use the thing, took me 3 days to figure out the controls on the lexicon panel. Anyways I get dropouts in the recording similar to tape when the thing wears. I also need to figure out how to add drums to this thing. Do I record live or is there a patch for synthesized drums?
Now this is the software I beleive causing the drop outs. I use the newest version of cuebase which came along with the unit. I also have timing issues with it. Nothing stays in syc after playing it few times.

I would uninstall cubase then reinstall it. that sounds like a bug. as to the drums I use fruity loops to program drums on the comp directly, a boss DR5 to drum machine it up, and the M-Audio Pro sessions content CD's for pre made beats and loops. I have also gone as far as using a p2p program to download other peoples beats and loops to further diversify my library. this has given me a pretty fair pool to dip into for drum composition.
