cubase>yamaha zx8 keyboard help

i have a yamaha zx8 midi keyboard and it came with cubase ai4 and i cant get the two to work together on my mac. i cant get any sounds out of the software or keyboard. i am lost
 
What is your setup? Ie: What's your Audio/Midi Interface etc?

What ever inputs/outputs you have connected your keyboard too PC, you need to make sure that these are are set in your tracks.
 
its a usb keyboard so i used the usb cord and i have no idea what im doing, i am a total beginner at this. where do i start?
 
Well there could be any number of possibilities. I would suggest you read the setup manuals for both your keyboard and Cubase.

What OS are you running?
 
im using a mac w/os 10 on it, and where can i get other vst from, i cant figure out halione 1 at all
