Hello all,
So im thinking of purchasing Cubase and a yamaha 01v as a remote controler and completing the set-up with a keyboard of some sort (MIDI enabled with built-in soundbanks) but i still have a couple questions. Ill number these to make things easier:
1. Do i need a midi interface to hook these up or do they connect to each other directly?
2. Can i also hook up a keyboard to the 01v and still use the 01v as a remote control for cubase or would i have to find a way to run the keyboard through Cubase first? Its playing melodies and adding FX on the fly that im interested in.
3. Are there any keys on either the keybaord, the 01v or the laptop itself that i can use to trigger single-shot samples? For example, a cymbal or a "yeah!" at the start of a new bar?
4. How can i play a note on the keyboard and effect it, say, with delay and while the note is still fading and delaying away continue playing the same note with the same instrument on the keyboard without the FX?
