To anyone who is using that combo please help me.

I have Cubase SL3

Everytime i run the SOFTLCD software it says "cant locate the Hardware, make sure its plugged and not used by any programs"

Now,i tried the infamous native instrument code, and came up with nothing that really leads me to believe that its set on native instruments.

I spent all day here messing with this thing, even formated my hard drive just to make sure ,but no go.

I'm frickin clueless right now :(

Help meeeeeeeeeeeee*screeming* he he he he

Amd 1500 prosessor
Win XP (even tried sp2)nothing
cubase SL3

I think thats it

make sure you download and install the version 1.31 updater from the Tascam site

Benny ,

I cant even update the driver, even then it says "error contact tascam support"

This stupid thing has got on my last nerve,i cant even update the firmware

BigWillz...Goodluck

"cant locate the Hardware, make sure its plugged and not used by any programs"

Does it show up in device manager? Does it work in its own software (not cubase)?

Thanks Altitude,

It shows up in the device manager, and even in cubase. But the problem is i cant use any of the updates,or firmware, because it soesnt show up in THEIR software. It tells me an error message.

So i cant use it in cubase because i cant update the drivers,or use any of their software at all. :(

Anyone

Anyone

play around with it some more. It took me awhile to get it. Make sure you follow the directions of the firmware update installer and listen for the Windows' connect sound when you reconnect the USB before powering on the device.....my Windows wasn't recognizing it every time. After a few restarts and several plug/unplugs...finally windows dinged at me that it knew I had plugged in the USB.
You may also try removing the hardware device and starting from scratch. Except when windows asks you "should I install the drivers for you" select cancel and run the firmware update instead. That may work.

Still nothing,i have tried every way possible :(

Something causing an error, between pc and the mixer.

I even changed the usb cords....nada :(

wooohooo i got it to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I used my other computer to install the all the firmware, and hooked it back up to my studio pc,and after figuring out few quirks, now its running great...(i better not say that too loud) :D

Thanks to everyone here 4 your help,i greatly apreshiate it :)

I guess it was my music PC problem,so..that makes me think now :(
