cubase sx3 vs vegas pro
cubase sx3 vs pro tools
cubase sx3 vs digital performer
cubase sx3 vs nuendo
cubase sx3 vs logic pro 8
cubase sx3 vs the other platforms used in most studios?

I think its important to consider what you are used to. Personally, I grew up using cubase. Therefore I am happy to continue buying their software as I dont have to re-learn everything. I understand people say cubase isnt as "pro" as protools or sonar, but it more than holds it ground.

I cant really give you a fair comparison because I have only used cubase for an extended period, but I can assure you, you wont be missing anything significant by running it instead of another program.

I also think cubase 4 looks better than any other peice of software :p

All sequencers do the same thing, with slight differences in their workflow and included tools.

The choice of sequencers is VERY subjective. What works easily for one person is gobletygook to another.

Go to Barnes&Noble or Borders --- they have books for EVERY major sequencer. Grab a cuppa coffee in the cafe and READ READ READ READ. You'll find one that fits YOUR brain and YOUR workflow.

Otherwise you'll waste money and walk away when someone else's workflow doesn't fit yours.....
