Cubase sx3 / Reason 3 rewire issues!

I have started to use reason 3.0 rewired with cubase sx. I rewire reasons instruments and control them using the midi sequencer in cubase along with my Korg Triton etc.

I just have a couple of questions:

Is it better to use say the A) redrum and sequence it in reason using a rewire track in cubase (I like this because I find the sequencing drums in reason is a lot easier) or
B) Trigger the redrum through a midi track in cubase.

The two main problems I have are:

1. When I trigger a reason instrument using my midi controller in cubase, it always records the signal like half a note early! I don’t know why as it is fine if I am using any other midi instrument i.e. my Triton etc.
2. If I am sequencing in reason, on for instance the redrum, when I am in rewire mode, I am not able to use my midi controllers (Korg padkontrol or Edirol PCR50 keyboard to program my parts in reason) It is very temperamental and will sometimes let me use one midi ctrlr but not both – this is something to do with them being used in cubase as they are fine when running reason stand alone!

Basically I want to be able to program my drums using my padkontrol in either reason or cubase (preferably reason) and sequence everything else in cubase.

Very annoying, any help would be great, thanks…..

1) Check to see if you have midi delay compensation turned on.

2) See if you have the other controllers installed in Reason. If so select one of those controllers to input notes.

program it in reason stand alone, save it. Then open up cubase and make a new session, then open up reason and open up the saved reason file, and route everything to cubase?

you also gotta untick release asio drivers in background ;device set up/vst audiobay.
