Cubase SX2 System Requirements ?

I'm in the process of buying a PC to use Cubase SX 2.

Can any one tell me the system requirements for this (I want to use rewire with reason aswell, if that makes any difference).

Good luck finding the box for software that has been out of date for a couple years. SX 3 has been out for a long time.
 
I use SX2 on a Dell Optiplex with GigaStudio 3, Halion, Symphonic Orchestra, and a whole load of other memory hungry applications. SX2 is old news now (in terms of where hardware technology has come), so throw the recommended spec out the window or you'll end up with a machine that can't handle next years software suites. Get the fastest processor and most up to date chipset you can afford (drive space can be added easily but if the motherboard is not up to spec it will never run faster). Also, get a minimum of 2GB ram if you want applications to open smoothly - you can allways add more later. If you're getting a pc, try giving Dell a call and ask them to spec you up a customised Optiplex for music production - don't bother with an onboard soundcard, Microsoft Office or any other crap. I got a special on tech support which was invaluable (especially when I ran into problems with GS3 and Tascam support did nothing to help :mad: )
