Cubase SX2/score notation can you help?

Hi
I've recently upgraded to SX2 and I am feeling my way slowly. One problem I've encountered and can't solve is that when I try to look at a midi tracks traditional staff notation all I get is strange symbols (telephones and letter boxes). It's probably something really simple, but can anybody help me out?

that sounds like a font issue. mkae sure yu have your fonts loaded correctly

MIDI/Traditional Staff Notation

I still get weird symbols like mail boxes, telephones, sunglasses, etc. when I try to look at a midi track's score notation. I checked the staff and font settings and still cannot see anything wrong. Is there any other way of loading up the correct font settings other than the score settings.
