I have been using cubase, since back in the day, but I have 1 question i cannot figure out.

I recently upgraded to SX2.

Instead of the old send channels they have the new 'send' channels- these are supposed to work like real mixer sends (sweet)..

but when I export audio mixdown, I can only choose 1 output (main outs) the send channel is not mixed down then and I am unhappy.

is there a way to do this or am I just an idiot.

thanks for any help....

What are you using your sends for? Are you trying to group tracks? What I usually do is send to a track (Effects track or whatever it is). and have that track routing to the bus.

Send channels (FX Channels) need to be routed to something. If you route them to a BUS, you will be able to mix them down aswell.

o.k. i see i can send to an FX track, and that will fx my tracks together ... so the fx track is like the old cubase sends ?? right?

is there a difference between sending to an fx track compared to a group track?

i think i almost got it, thanks.....

An FX track acts like any other track (sort of) with an effect inserted. The sends on the individual audio tracks go to the FX track, which in turn is routed to the master stereo out (by default, I think). I pretty much always route my FX to the master, except when chaining certain things together and even then I don't do it much.

This is cleary detailed in the documentation that comes with Cubase.
