Hello,

I'm new to this game and did a load of recording last night using a Tascam US-428 and cubase sx. Recording went well and playing back outputting to the desk was all fine. I now no longer have the desk and want to play back the song through my soundcard and speakers... Sounds simple but i can't do it. I hear nothing at all. Do i need to change the output buses? If i do how do i make my souncard appear as a bus? I'm scared and confused...

Any help would be great,

Jon

Don't have it here in front of me but I try going to devices/device setup/vst audiobay.

What NYMorningstar said.

Makes sure that your sound cards outputs are listed and visible in the device setup, and in your project, make sur you ahave an output bus mapped to them. There is probabaly only one output bus in your system right now, and it is likely set to the console.

I used to have one of those units, but it has been a while-- if when recording you had everything set up for the tascam driver, you might have to selcet the xsoundcard driver now instead.

make sure your cards sample rate and bit rate can play back the sample rate you recorded at.
