What' up everyone?

I have a very strange problem i was hoping to get some help with. I just spent 4 hours on a session with a client. I am using cubase SX 3.0. The session went very well, no problems recording at all. However, after I saved the project, closed Cubase and tried to open the project, Cubase will not open the session. I click to open the file and it starts to open and everything looks normal, but when all the project data is loaded Cubase closes and now I can't access the file. I noticed this is also happening with my custom templates. If anyone has had this problem and know of a way to fix it. I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks All

I Hope to hear from someone soon.

Yes, the dongle is in. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in. The really odd thing is most of my projects and templates will open and play with no problem. I usually use the same template when starting a new project, but for some reason lately I have been having the above mentioned issue. But not with all files. Any ideas?

Try opening a template without plugins and see if you get the same problem.

It could be that one of your plug-ins has a problem. When Cubase opens and it hits the bad plug-in it crashes. Mac or PC? I know that I had this problem once and I looked in my crash log and found a plug-in that went bad. I reinstalled it and everything was happy.

Thanks all for the responses. I am still having the issues. I will keep troubleshooting and if I find a solution I will post it here.

You will need to reinstall either your plugins, Cubase, or both. I've been using the program for years and have had something similar happen about 2 years ago.

It was a corrupted .dll from my Guitar Rig plugin. I noticed that the project crashed every time during that plugs load. I dumped it, reinstalled and haven't seen that bug since.

Man, take a pill. No one in here accused this guy of stealing anything but the answer to your question is because the questions are usually about program support which is freely available to registered users.
You need to take you own advice "make sure you know what you are talking about before you point the finger BITCH "

Well that is a classic reply but what the hell does the dongle have to do with this? that was the accusation that I was talking about!

and I got your BITCH ;)

I completely understand what your talking about, but from the other side, things fuck up if the dongle isn't in properly. I forgot to plug my donlge in once and spent an hour trying to figure out why cubase wouldn't work properly till i saw the little blue thing peeping out from where i left it when took my pc apart. It happens. We all have brainfarts sometimes.

Just like when you phone tech support, they always ask you something really obvious like "is it plugged in", just to be sure.

If you are using Waves V4 plug-ins then you will expect your projects to crash.
Upgrade to V5 at the Waves website for free.
