Hello all,
I am wanting to add a very simple drum track to a recording using Groove Agent. I am using Cubase SE and a Tascam us-428 WITHOUT a MIDI controler. I have read the manual that came with Studio Case and have added a track to my progect using the "Write" and "Read" commands in Groove Agent and the project window. I can hear the drums through the headphones pluged into the US-428, but I am not getting a signal or any level reading at all. I have a feeling that the problem is with my in and out settings in the track settings, but I dont understand them enough yet to get it right.

Shouldnt I be able to control the levels using the trim on the US-428?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

probably not. since Groove Agent is a VST, cubase is sending the signal (via USB) to the US-428 where it is then converted to an analog signal on the output bus not the input bus.

you'll have to control the volume of the Groove Agent via Cubase itself.
