In my Cubase SE, I've got both midi and audio working OK, but today I started a new project with some midi loops (drums, bass, etc.) and when I tried to record my first audio track to it, it recorded all the midi tracks as well as the new audio on to the new audio track. Is there a way to listen to the existing midi tracks and record new audio at the same time. This must be some basic mistake I'm making but I can't figure it out.
Thanks in advance.

This all depends on your soundcard. Which is what?
Sounds as though you have the recording device set to whatever your card calls it's sub-mix of all channels. Kinda like what Creative calls "What U Hear".
You need to make sure that you have whatever input of your card you are using to record into set as the device your are using.
Never the less ... I guarantee it's a soundcard setting.

After looking at your other posts .... do not use the Analog Mix setting for recording additional tracks. You need to use Line In.

Thanks

Yep, when I unchecked the What U Hear, and went to the Line In it worked. Thanks again.
