Cubase SE and 8 Tracks....

Hi guys!

Thinking about a PreSonus Firepod...if I ahve 8 channels on the presonus, can i record 8 tracks at once on Cubase SE?
 
The answer is probably yes, but it depends on whether your computer can handle eight tracks at once. Let us know what kind of 'puter you will be using.
 
hows a gig of ram with a duo cor elook? Ill be upgrading anyways to get a firewire port so i think a gig and the latest intel chip.
 
cool, so its theoretically doable, but how conventional it is relates to my DAW and processing capability right?
 
I just got my Firepod and have heard conflicting things about the number of tracks that LE can handle. Sweetwater website gives four, but sweetwater email dude says the new version of LE will run 8 at once.

I have a P4 1.7gig notebook... I guess we'll see how it does.
 
Older LE versions were limited to 4. The latest, which should ship with the pod, can record 8.
