i want to add some reverb and chorus to spice up my overheades a bit, what are some settings that you use, and with which cubase application?

I dont know what version of cubase you are using but i would add a small amount of reverb using reverb A and no chorus. EQ is probably your best bet for spicing them up somewhere in the high frequency regions. Also pnning them hard left and right will help bring them out in the mix.

Ultimately its down to your ears so go play till your happy.

I would second not adding chorus. You are probably trying to get them to sound like they were recorded in a good room for drums so reverb would be the answer. I'm not a huge fan of Cubase reverbs, I bought a TC electronics unit just for the verbs because the computerized ones just weren't doing it for me, but add a little bit and play with it and see if it doesn't do the trick for you.

I personally use the reverb in my O1V96 but it will always be the case that a dedicated reverb unit will sound better than some effects bundled with your sequencer.
