What do YOU rate Cubase LE and WHY

Hi, I just got cubase le and was wondering how good it is. Ive heard that Cubase is good recording software. What do you rate it from one to ten?

I find it funny that we are acually voting in a blank poll. :D
I currently use Cubase LE. I had a not so legal version of SX2 a couple of years ago but I got rid of it when I got LE with my Firebox. I actually like LE better because the input channels are the same as the record channels. You just assign an input to a channel arm it for recording and away you go. I hardly ever find that I need more than a couple of insert effects and if I need more effects I set up send effects. It just seems simple and easy to use.
I don't use vst instruments at all so I don't worry about the limitations there.
I am able to do everything I want to do with this program and I have barley scratched the surface of it's capabilities.
 
Okay cool. Thanks for the feedback. And about the poll, I havent ever set one up.
 
The only thing I personally dislike about cubase LE is that there is no "drum editor"
I know you can do everything in piano roll, but it just seems easier to be able to do it in something where you can visualize placing the kick, snare, hi hats, etc.

Other than that little bit, I would say it is perfect for what I do (ameteur songwriting/recording)

It's actually not bad. For a first time recording app, there's not a damn thing wrong with it.
 
Is there any way to get more plug ins for cubase LE , i got my version of cubase LE with my Tascam us-144 Soundcard. and i can only add some reverb and a some compression??

the stock plugins in cubase aren't too good.

for compression:

sll listen compressor Cool but very colored and a very specific sound.

BlockfishVery cool free compressor, comes bundles with some other cool plugins as well.

reverb:

classic reverb Many more quality free plugins at this site as well.

SIR convolution reverb Good but you will have to download some convolution samples to put into it first.
