Cubase LE 8/Zoom R 24 hookup problem

It says it uses mackie control for the protocol so here is how you do it as long as LE 8 has these options (It's possible these steps don't exsist in LE8, but I can't check because I'm using the full version).
Go to the menu: "devices"
Go to the bottom where it says "device setup..."
Open that.
In the window you need to add a new device. You do that by clicking on the plus sign in the top left corner of the window.
When it prompts you for what kind of device select "Mackie Control"
Select the zoom R24 for the midi input and output.
NOW if that doesn't work, do the same thing only try either generic remote or Mackie HUI. TBH since I don't own a zoom it might be one of those instead. It's most likely Mackie Control though.
