So I'm new here to the whole home recording thing, & I use a Tascam US-1800 as my audio interface. I installed Cubase LE 5 on my PC. I registered it. It used to show a message before it started saying:

"Impossible to record audio because the Audio input is not active. Open ASIO DirectX Duplex Setup dialog. Make sure that a device is selected in the Input Ports section and that its check box is activated."

I pressed "OK" and it loaded Cubase, but it didn't show anything but a blank blue window. I ignored all that thinking I could fix it by going to Device Setup, and connecting my US-1800 to the VST Audio System : ASIO Driver

Now it doesn't show the message when I start Cubase. But I'm still left with the blank window problem. It doesn't show a... Map? Of all the controls. Like the Play, Rewind, Record buttons. It's just a plain blue screen. I figured it would show the tracks and the maps and all those controls. But it's just blank. Any solutions or suggestions? Has anyone had this problem before?

Please reply! Thank you!

I'd wait till someone else replies but you could try reinstalling it

I already reinstalled it. It just did the same thing. :/

Screenshot maybe?
From what you are describing I can't tell if you have made new project and created a few tracks to record on or not.

The "blank blue screen" means that you have not created a project. go to File>New Project and select what type of project you want to create. You can then add tracks as you wish.
