I am making my first attempt at home recording. I have a Presonus firestudio project and Cubase le 4. I have gotten as far as installing all the software and getting guitar track recorded. I know the track was recorded because i can see it on cubase. However, i cannot hear it when I try to play it back. I have tried everything I can think of plus done some research and still cannot seem to find the answer...Any help would be appreciated.

I suspect that you've just not got it patched properly - in the inspector panel, is the output option showing the place it's patched - VST connections give the option of sending the main output to multiple devices, and I'd guess it's greyed out when you have a look.

Or just need to hit the 'monitor button' on the track you recorded to...

See basic setup HERE. Just replace the 1800 with your interface. Cubase setup the same.

In the inspector panel my output says Stereo. I have changed it several different times in VST connections with no success. I am guessing that my headphones should be plugged into the headphone jack on my presonus interface... I have also tried them plugged directly into my lap top and no success either direction...
