After using Cubase LE5 for some months I decided to buy cubase 7.

Do i always need to have the Usb E-Licenser plugged in the computer?

I'm currently using a macbook pro with only two USB-slots and I need the two slots for my audio interface and midi keyboard.

Yes, it always needs to be plugged in, so you will need to get a powered hub to expand your options a bit.

I have mine inside my pc off of a usb port header on the pc. Taped inside my case. I haven't cracked open the mac pro to see if I have an open usb header.

Yes, as Bane01 already mentioned, the simplest and easiest solution will be to get a powered USB-Hub.

Best regards,
