Cubase 6 Upgrade Special

I just got an e-mail from Steinberg about a special they're having through October 31st. Upgrade to the full version of Cubase 6 from any of the following, LE 4/5, AI 4/5, SX/SL 1/2/3, Sequel 2, Cubase Essential 4/5 and Elements 6, for only $299.99. (excluding VAT?). Check out their website for details.

No, I'm not a sales rep, I only see frequent posts lamenting over the restrictions of the lesser versions of Cubase and thought I'd throw this out there since this is quite a discount and I'm surprised it includes the really older versions.

Just a month ago I upgraded from SL2 to Cubase 6 and wish this was in effect back then.

And also, for current 6 users, on July 27th they "officially" released update 6.0.3.

If anyone's taking advantage of their offer, make sure your machine meets the recommended spec. My old machine ran C6 fine until I started adding plugs, then my workload ground to a halt and I had to switch back to SX3.

Excellent point! I should have mentioned that. When I upgraded, it was only because I also rebuilt my PC from the ground up.
 
Hmm I wish I remembered how much C6 from C5 was. It's currently at $150 which seems legit. hmm....
 
Is this available in the UK with that discount? I'll check it out. nice tip.
