Hey guys.
I have recorded midi drums to cubase 5 ( pc )
I have purchased bfd eco and cant find a good kick drum punchy sound I like.
How can I use the Halione 1 kick drum and the bfd cymbals , toms etc..
Can I create a separate track for each drum and assign the appropriate input to each.
If so how do i do this.
Also I cant get the drum velocity to work.
I adjust the levels in the key editor but it doesnt change it.
Thanks for the help.

I am not familiar with bfd, but with EZdrummer you can use Cubase Instrument Rack to use all of ezd outputs separately. Do you have the ability to turn off the kick only in bfd? You could definitely just create the kick part on another MIDI channel using HALionOne. Also pull up the drum editor instead. Much easier to work with for drums. You can change the default editor in Preferences.

Hope any of this helps.

Just looked into it a bit more. You will want to setup bfd in the VSTi Instrument Rack for sure. Then you will also have individual Eq/Comp control for the kick and may not even need to find another one. I can't give you specific directions as I don't have the steps memorized, but it will do what you need to separate the toms/kick/snare/etc. I know I have seen a step by step on Youtube for EZD multiple output setup in Cubase 5. The setup will be exactly the same on the Cubase end of it.

Good luck!
