Hey all, I play in a four piece band. I have a crate "box" PA that has two amps built in. I use these to run one set of FOH speakers and two monitors. I also have two addtional amps rack mounted with an equalizer to drive two other sets of FOH speakers. The guys want more "bass" I am not sure what to do here. Here are my questions:
1. Should I buy a crossover and bi amp it with a subwoofer?
2. If so, if my speakers already have internal crossovers (not sure if they do) can I still use them with a active crossover (rackmounted)?

I thought I could use one set of house speakers for highs, one set for mids/lows and add a subwoofer.
Am I on the right track or waaaay of base here? :)
Your input is appreciated!
Thanks

Ok, I think I have thought of another option here. Since I have 3 sets of house speakers, could I use one amp with an eq as a "bass" by turning down all the mids and highs on the eq , and one amp with an eq for a mid/high by turning down the bass/lower frequencies? Would that achieve the same result as a crossover?
