critique my set up

i'm putting a studio together, and the room is not built yet.

this is basically the layout of what i will have in the room. i think the gobos will help with making a false iso, and will help reflections when i mix. they will be moveable. what do you think about the piano? would my mics be picking up too much bass? should i do it katty corner?

i will be putting bass traps in places and will be using foam on the walls/ceiling.

i dont get the gobo in the middle of the room?
 
I'd strongly suggest rethinking the mix position in the corner. That will severely color what you hear and how the mixes translate. Try them on the short wall firing down the long dimension with your seat at about 1/3 of the length.

You can still use the gobos for pseudo-iso and reflection panels when mixing.

You'll also need a reasonable amount of bass absorbtion.

that's just the mixer. the m1 and m2 are the monitors. they aren't really positioned in the corner. i'll be mixing from infront of the computer, not the mixer
 
i think i've found a good design. i will be putting something to trap bass. maybe some sort of spaced out layers of carpet in the corners. i will have foam bass traps for sure.

this is the best design, though i'll have to get some longer cords. it would be nice to get one of those multiple mic cord things that will reach to where i'm recording. the iso or the piano...etc.

crit my design part to (in 3d)

so i'm thinking i want to angle the cloud, and put in my foam like this.

again, i mix infront of the computer using software, not the hardward in the corner.


should i bass trap the ceiling/wall corner?

the cloud is grey the 2 gobos are red and blue.

explain the placement of the red and blue gobos? They just seem to be placed so randomly.
