Guys and gals, excuse me for creating a completly pointless thread, but I just had to share this...

This is an e-mail a buddy of mine sent me this morning under the title "Worst Review Ever Containing a Quote of the Week". It left me in tears laughing...and contains language that is far too reminiscent of some posts in this forum:

I was looking for an inexpensive MP3 player for my daughter, checked Amazon for reviews to get an idea of what's what.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/cu...omer-reviews.sort_by=-SubmissionDate&n=172282

Here's a sample of the gems included:

"The sound quality is alright but you really need to turn it up to
hear it (not to say the volume is bad)."

"the unit is light and not even a bit heavy..."

And my favorite line, and my official QotW:

"I can't really tell the difference between good sound quality and
great sound quality. I can tell bad quality, though, and the MobiBLU
Cube does not have bad sound quality. It may not be great quality but
it is at least good quality--and, it may be great quality, as far as I
know. All I can really say is that the sound quality is sufficient for
me and would probably be sufficient for most people. "

I'd even go so far as to suggest you use the above quote as the intro
to your next Ebook on critical listening.

I now return you to the usual mayhem.

That's good stuff. I think I may pick one of those MibiBLU MP3 players up, now. I mean, I know it doesn't suck, but who knows if it's good or great?

:D

I can't really tell the difference between a completely pointless thread, and just a somewhat pointless thread. I can tell when a thread has a good point though, and the SSG 2181209 definetely does not have a good point, unless you turn it up, and then it does, but not necessarily.

I wonder if it is warm milky smooth compression. Please what do I do for warm and smooth to buy what should I need?

best rap vocal mic for under 50 Pesos?
and hahahahahaha..

its not great, but its not bad, but its good, but i dont know the difference between good and great..

the sound quality is always best when you turn it up so much that the little earpieces rumble and crackle!

There you have it folks, just a small sampling of some of the "end users" of the mixes we create. Why do we work so hard at them again? Oh yeah, thats for us ;)
