I need ya'll opinions on a beat that I made...Leave ya'll email addresses if you're interested in criticizin it

just one person? come on ya'll help me out here...anybody else?

Jus Post It. I dont mind peepin it but I DO if its gotta get complicated

jugalo180, check your mail. I sent my beats.
I ain't gon post it. It's not that complicated to download 1 min of a beat from an email

i checked it out

yo, the sounds were phat but the beat was off to me. maybe the type of song you intended for the beat would set it off, but i would have to hear it. i was trying to nod and rap to it but i couldn't catch the down beat. maybe if you added a clap or hihat to help keep the listener on the rhythem count. i'm not judging your work like mine is any better i'm just giving you an honest opinion. that's one thing i like about this forum, i feel people are honest in there opinions. i have some threads for people to check my stuff out but nobody commented on it. i guess in their nice little way they told me it sucked. but that's okay, because when i start to get compliments here then i'll know that i'm on the right track. i hope you feel the same. feel free to send me any more of your material, i'll do the same for you.

holla back

here you go. i stepped up my game a little since i mixed this beat down. the funny thing i'm realizing about music is that you have to has to have that proffessional sound for people to accept it. timbaland was laughed at all through out his high school talent shows. to me raps and beats that may sound wack when it's presented dry or poorly mixed may get looked over even though it has potential, i think a really good mix can help a poor beat or rap, as well as a poor mix screwing up a really good beat or rap. the dynamics may not be right so the potential power of the material can be lost. just a little of my ramblings, just feel free to check out my stuff. in a couple of weeks i should have everything remixed to show everyone that i stepped it up a notch since the three weeks these songs have been created and posted.

what kind of software or machine do u use to make those beats?
and did you record those songs at home or in a studio? I really had a hard time hearin those beats but the ones i heard sound straight they really for hip-hop. I only make beats, i don't sing. I have my sister sing through the beats that i make maybe i should post the songs we made up in that site.

yo

i use fruity loops, and the beats are made for hip hop. thanks for peeping them out. i record at home. can your sister really sing? let me check something out that you both did together.
the mixes are becoming a little better. i'll post some up. btw, that site is a free site, lazi hooked me up with that one, you can sign up and put you stuff on there too, that way you don't have to worry about e-mailing people. most people here are more willing just to click on a link and shoot str8 2 it. holla back.

my sister sings aiight. I like her voice but that's just my opinion. I want to know what the audience would think...i'll post up a song we did(produced and vocal arranged by me and sang by her) prolly next week. I'll let you know...

do you have the fruityloops full version? or the pro version?

remix

i remixed one of those songs, give it a listen. it's the only one on there now, i took the others off.

there's something wrong wit that site...i can't hear the whole thang..only heard a second of it

maybe you can just email it to me

yo what type of mic do you use? do you use a live mic(to save money) or one of those recording mics?

jugalo-That thing sounds good. I'd recommend you turn down the mid slightly on the instrumental and put over a more audible bassline, it needs to be seen a bit more, but it's a banger.

thanks for the love

to genuwine, yo, i use an at4055 large condenser, mackie 1202 mixer, to my computer. i record in the closet. i use fruity loops for the beats, and vegas video for the tracking and recording. i sometimes use acid pro 4 for recording and tracking, and soundforge for editing.

to ridl, thanks man, i'm still learning how to mix. it's a tedious process, especially when your being tought through a forum. i still have a long way to go on my mixing skillz. making my own beats, writing, and recording is not a lot for some of the people on here who do a helllll of a lot more, but it's a lot for me. every minute that i'm doing one thing it's taking away from the other.
