Tunes on the music page. On the contacts page there is a link where you can download the mp3's if you want, but this above web page has the best audio for listening.

I recorded with Acid 7, with a toneport UX2. The mix sounds awesome on my pc speakers (logitech with sub) and studio monitors (studiophile bx5), but the mix sounds muddy and on car stereo speakers, which of course is pretty important for listening. i probably over compressed the master, but i dig that sometimes...

I am a relative newb with the acid program, let me know how to take it to the next level.

Would that be "critique", "criticize", or "critical(ly) hit"? :D

I'm listening to the Gem now. It's prett good. I like the tones you have.

I'm not a fan of the hard pans. Having important voices like melody lines or the drums way over on one side always annoys me.

thanks for the comment. by crit, i mean a bit of all that you listed... mainly critique though.

hard pans are my newb way of separating things in the mix, and with the gem i tried hard panning the drums for the first time (after listening to a couple beatles songs where they did the same). not having a firm grasp on mixing and mastering, i am a bit lost when it comes to the nitty gritty of things. i have been reading this forum heavily, because I really want to 'know' my sound, however i am frustrated at the moment with the discrepancy from one set of speakers which sound awesome, to my car speakers which sound less than awesome.

is there EQ theory that i should be aware of? perhaps some general mastering do's and don'ts, that sort of thing?

I'm still pretty newbish at EQ myself, so I can't really help you there.

I think the Beatles hard panned that way because stereo was new and no one knew how to use it well yet. In a way, they were making the same newbish mistake so many of us do. :D
