Hey all,

I've done a search on this and have received very good information. Here is what i'm trying to do with this card: I am looking to buy it for recording maybe 2 or 3 inputs max. I really don't need professional audio but just very decent quality audio recording.

Right now I can buy this card for $109 I'm wondering if this is a good deal or not?

Thanks for you responses!!

Dan

Honestly, no.

Soundblasters are not recording cards, and do not record at 24bit, to my knowledge anyways, contact Creative to make sure.

Get the M-Audio Delta 410 for $99.00 from musiciansfriend.com

Interesting,

I looked up some specs on the M-Audio Delta 410 and I like it so far. Will it let me record from 2 guitars simultaniously onto diff tracks? I dont really have a use for all those outputs, i dont think.

Dan

both the M-audio 410 and Audigy will let you record from 2 guitars into two tracks (pan one left, and one right).

The audigy can record 24 bit, but you have to get the kx drivers. I don't believe it can with the creative drivers, at least mine hasn't been able to. With the kx you can actually record 3 stereo channels or 6 mono channels simultaneously. With the creative drivers, only one stereo or two mono.

I use an Audigy 2 Platinum and a M-Audio 2496. I prefer the sound of the m-audio 2496 but with the kx drivers for the audigy, the latency is amazing on both.

Ok well now i have a choice, I can go with the audigy and get better game sound and overall in general. Or i can go with the Delta 410 and get good recording. I am just worried that I have no use for the 10 outputs. I might be leaning towards the Audigy with kx drivers.

Please help me decide....give me your view on things...

Dan

Both will cost me the same amount ($100)

Also what is the max amount of guitars and mics i can hook up to both...and an explination....i am a noob...thanks guys

I'd pass on the 410 since its been discontinued (its no longer on the M-Audio website). You'll be paying $100 for something that won't be supported by any future Microsoft OS beyond XP. I would buy the Audiophile 2496 instead.
