When I look at the CPU meter in SONAR, am I seeing a combination of my proccesor and RAM's performance or is this just the proccesor as the name would imply?
Good question; When recording or playing, Sonar's CPU meter (or Guitar Tracks) indicates 1-3% or so CPU usage on my P4 Win XP machine, but my Windows CPU meter shows 99-100%! I've seen other posts from Cakewalk users with the same experience. Does Cakewalk "reserve" the CPU's bandwidth for its own use, and then indicate the % that IT is utilizing, or what?? Other programs like n-track do not do that.
