Hi Guys,

I have a flat screen TV (plastic screen) in my studio. I want to cover it with something to reduce reflections. Is there a specific material I should look into or is basic fabric (i.e. velvet of a couple layers thick) enough to reduce the reflections? It's at the front wall of the studio above the monitor speakers so it's not at the first point of reflection or at the back of the room which would be worse. Any advice would be appreciated... would be great to get a link to some material I could have sewn into some cosmetically attractive fabric (i.e. some anti-reflection fabric sewn between two layers of velvet).

Hi,
Is the rest of the environment treated to the highest possible standard?
If it's not, don't worry about the screen. ;)

Ignoring the rest of the room for a moment, you want something thicker than velvet.
You need something thick.
A polyester duvet/comforter would work.

I use a doubled thick terry cloth towel over the music stand for the same effect (near the vocal mic for example. The sheet paper is still there but it helps otherwise.
..availoable in fun colors

How big is your room? If your corners and back wall are treated, I wouldn't worry about the tv screen on the front wall.
