Cover of Herbie Hancock's Chameleon.

Drum kit mic'ed with 2 Digital Reference DRI-100's (SM57 clone). I have some condenser mic's in the mail that will hopefully be here this week, but for now I have 1 overhead and one on the kick drum.

The backing track is a midi (done by someone else), played through a Roland Integra.

The Rhodes patch is on a Korg (can't remember which exact model) going to a Behringer XAIR-12.

The drums were recorded through an MBOX interface straight into Ableton Live (for the separate tracks).

I put the backing track and the KB lead together in Live and put an EQ on the kick drum and a compressor on the OH and a transient designer on the OH drum track also.

Added a bit of reverb on the backing/lead track and exported to wav, then converted to MP3 (Lame 320) and uploaded to Soundcloud.

Nice job. My only nit is the kick drum sounds super muffled or something. It's keeping out of the way of the bass which is good but it could use more life, more shell sound. Maybe some compression & reverb to lift it a bit. Otherwise good cover
