In light of the "New" Cars, here's a cover of the old tune, Candy-O.

 
That's pretty wild...I really like it. I haven't heard that one in a while, but this is very cool. :cool:

Quick list of some of the gear

Ghost 32ch mixer; Alesis HD-24 (I gotta get another one of these :) ); Focusrite VoiceMaster on vocals, Vocal mic was a very modified Apex 460; Octopre on drums; Effects are a combination of Lexicon (MPX 200, MPX110) and TC electronics. Compressors; none on main vocal, VLA on bass, combination of Symtrex & DBX on drums.

All Guitars were track from a V-Amp pro :eek: . All keyboards were vintage Korg stuff from the 80s

Something tells me that whatever cover you chose to produce, it would sound just awesome. Keep rolling stuff out like that & I have all the time in the world to listen!

I really appreciate the comments & feedback. Every once in a while things just come together.

I like the Cars and Candy O is probably my most favorite Cars' song. :eek: ;)

I think you nailed it. :eek: :cool:
 
Candy-O is also my fav from The Cars!Always wanted to do this one....Man , you nail it on the vocals...love all the freaky synth noises, great guitar solo...just like the original !This rocks man...Great job!!!!!
 
Variaxman, thanks for the kind words. The song went together fairly fast (except my partner said the arpeggiator was a b@$ch :D ). The keyboards were stuff we had from back in the eighties so; those sounds are pretty much canned.

Wow, you nailed all the parts so well! Guitar solo was right on-all the parts. Cool 80's synthe parts sure brought to mind some of those old video game effects sounds too! ;) :cool: ;)

I have to give my partner an the kudos for the guitar & synth parts; he did a hell of a job. :cool:

Great job on a classic Cars tune.....I liked everything....guitars, synths, drums and vocals. Great mix job also....
