whenever i play an instrument on my PC using my oxygen8 v2,
theres a delay from when i press the key, to when i hear anything.
it seems to be about 1 second. I tried changing settings..but nothing fixes it.
so, i turn here...im sure its a simple fix.

im using a 1.5mhz, 1G of ram. Running XP.
The hosts are Acid Pro 4/Ableton Live 5.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also i was wondering, are there any small footprint hosts,
that allow me to properly run my Oxygen8 with softsynths
in realtime, as well as bind the knobs to assigned parameters of
the VST?

Ableton is a bit cpu heavy.

Im postitive these q's have been asked a million times.

I use and recommend Xlutop's Chainer-

It's $60 and for that you get a nice, stable and compact VST and VSTi host with input capability but no sequencing. For sequencing you need to use it as a VST plugin inside a host like Reaper or use an external solution like an MPC.

If you can find it, older (1.xx) versions of EnergyXT would fill your requirements, but the developer moved on to XT2 which I've never gotten to work properly.

As far as your latency problem goes, if you're trying to use a SoundBlaster or some other marginal soundcard, try asio4all

.
