MAGIX Music Studio v.5 or v.6 does e'thing those other titles do, for $20-$40,

-F/I:

-Magix Music Studio v.5, is 16 track DAW software: $19.95, last week at Guitar Center.

-Magix Music Studio v.6, is 24 track DAW software: $19.95, a few weeks ago, at Best Buy stores, discounted from $39.95, and then FREE AFTER MAIL IN REBATE. You just can't beat that.

I kid you not, Magix Music Studio is a great DAW title, that does everything the other DAW titles do, at a fraction of the cost. Hell, they're almost giving it away.

These deals have expired, but the 24 track Magix Music Studio 6 is only ~$40, full retail. Check BestBuy.com for Magix Music Studio 6, and other Magix recording software titles. There's a Magix version for music-videos, that's fully compatible to the audio-only version.

I use and recommend MAGIX DAW software. It's comparable to other modern DAW software titles out there, at a fraction of the cost.

$40 max for 24 track DAW software, Magix Music Studio 6, as currently found at Best Buy stores. Even starving students can afford $40, can't they?

I can fully understand why someone wouldn't want to spend $100-$500 for one of those 'designer name' DAW titles.

Can Magix do 24 bit?....

I actually have a free copy of one of the Magix programs from Computer Music magazine...it sucked so I never got far enuff to check....

N-Track rulez.....

RE: Can Magix do 24 bit?....

I think the A/D-D/A word size appears to be sound card dependent.

I'm not sure.

I checked the system requirements on the box of Magix Studio 6, and it said "16 bit sound card", but I don't know if that was an absolute, or a minimum requirement.

I don't know if 24-bit resolution would work on Magix Music Studio 6. Not having a 24-bit soundcard, I can't verify that, one way or another.

-Good question, thx.
