Returned from the dead
Ok, So I found out how cheap owen's corning 705 is and I'm planning to treat my room which of course means bass traps.

Now here is my problem, I've got quite a bit of crap in my "studio" (and no I don't wanna take everything but the desk out... For now this is just a hobby studio) and I've got a few things in the corners such as a TV and in another corner I've got a book shelf. I also have a closet that sticks out of a corner of the room

I uploaded pictures so you can see exactly what I'm seeing. Sorry about the crappy quality... The only camera I have is my phone's camera :o

I'm wondering if putting bass traps in the corners behind the things that are there would make the traps less effective???
If the tv and bookshelf are going to bring the effectiveness of the traps down then I will have no problem rearranging to better suit the acoustic treatment.

and what exactly should I do with the corner that has the closet?? I'm gonna stick bass traps in the recessed corners but what do I do about the corner that's sticking out?

Bass traps behind large objects don't work well. So move the stuff you can't do without to at least not be in the corners.

yup...
do some rearranging in the corners, start with yer traps there and quit paintin yer damn walls pink!

:laughings:

It's the light

It's sort of a dark red, and yeah I know that probably seems tacky but it's my man cave and I love it. I have the x-mas lights, a red light bulb in a lamp, and I've even got a lava lamp on either side of my DAW PC monitor :D:D

When I first painted it, THEN it was pink
and I was PISSED!
...Stupid wal-mart sales associates who don't know red from pink :mad::p
